Description: Storytelling Workshop/Playshop by Norman Perrin Story as a Bridge between Hearts: Story Listening - Story Telling - Story Creation The playshop will explore some of the elements of story listening, storytelling and story creation. The Workshop will be in two parts: - The Tongue is Fire: Goal of talk: To explore the many roles and uses of storytelling/listening Introduction and Opening Exercise: The Story of Your Name Story as Resistance Story as Teacher Listener as Co-creator of the Story - Story Stone Playshop Goal of playshop: Creating and retelling our own story. Opening Tale from the Story Stone Dancing Lion, by Saburah Royce, Kidnapped by Monkeys * Length of the workshop is 2 hours, with a 15-minute intermission. ** Light refreshments will be served. *** Each participant is expected to share a story with the group. The workshop will end with a Q&A session.
